Jack getting ready to show

This is my little darling boy Jack out of (Champion Charming Chis Boogie Woogie Man); his real name is Charming Little Dancer for Dresden. Soon he will be of age to go on his first show. He has the same endearing personality and sharp showmanship that Lana does, so I am hoping he will be finished as soon as Lana was. Most of Jack's pedigree is bloody red, as he has champion parents, grandparents, cousins, his sister recently got finished too. So I hope that before too long, his name on his pedigree will be changed to red.
Jackie will be shipped to South Carolina where his trainer, who worked with Lana and with Monkey (who has just one point left to become a champion) are located. She is the gifted Sandy Clark, who has more handling clients that she can handle...ha-ha, Sandy...this lady finished Lana in only a few weekends, and with three Majors.
Waiting in the wings is Jasmine, my secret weapon from Mar-Jax kennels, a cream female being handled by Mar-Jax's owner, Margaret Head, in Michigan. Also waiting to show is Puff, a rare granddaughter of Champion Ouichitah Beau Chien, the greatest champion producer of all time; his son, Champion Bliss Prince of Thieves, is Puff's father. Her dam is an English import with a long history tracing back to the famous Bramerita line in the U.K. The dam's grandfather is Champion Cheveraz Bellboy from the UK; Champion PSA Bark at the Moon is Cheveraz' grandson. My dad used to say that my dogs have better bloodlines than I do. Of course he was joking. Was he?
One more thing: we must add my little Portia's son, Oberon (Obie) to this illustrious list. Portia is the sister to Champion Lamar's Ivy, who was purchased by my good friend Joom of Saiyi Kennels, who has the finest Chihuahuas in Thailand. Portia's brother, Antonio, should soon have his championship as well. His breeder, Gayle, who owns Lamars, is handling Antonio. Portia was one of those puppies that just refused the ring. I was so upset, because Portia has that "Fandango" head and short back that I adore. And she is tiny, but not shy, at four pounds. But there was nothing I could do, she saw those lights, the leash, and the table, and said that was not the life for her. She would roll herself into a ball much like a ladybug. But she is a wonderful mother, and Obie mirrors her beauty, presence and conformation. He is only about four months now. I will present his training photos to you all later....when we really start moving along!

Lana becomes a Champion!!!

Welcome to my blog! You can thank my friend Joom!

Wow, it took me no time to set this up. I thought it would be more difficult!

I wasn't planning on doing this. It seemed like one more complication. But Joom kept on insisting, and now I can understand how convenient having a blog is...it's a great way to update friends about what's going on, and also hear from them. I thought e-mail was the only way to go, but blogging is great!

Thank you, Joom! (Joom loves chihuahuas too, she has the best kennel in Thailand (maybe the world!?)..her breeding program is simple: she gets the best champions from Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Of course her puppies are exquisite. Her kennel is Saiyai Kennel in Bangkok. Joom has a daughter, a gorgeous young lady that attends school in NYC. She reminds me of Nina, my daughter. Her handsome son is tall like a model and an artist, he attends Vancouver University. Joom looks like a kid herself, not old enough to have grown kids and a responsible career, not to mention raising champion show dogs. It must be the food there that makes people healthy, that whole fish grilled with black sauce and ginger, followed by a cup of plum wine. Ahhhhhh,....

I hope to share with all my friends everything that's happening around here. Right now, we are just grateful that we skipped that big hurricane that almost hit Florida.
